Eggplant (Florida Market) is a very large plant that produces large purple, bell-shaped fruit. This is an old market variety and an excellent type for temperate and subtropical climates. Take care when picking as fruit has spikes on its neck! Loves a sunny, hot position in free-draining soil.
Eggplant is commonly used in stews and sauces, or grilled, baked, stuffed…the list is endless!
