COVID-19 UPDATE

We are very grateful to be open and operating as normal, and we are shipping within our usual time-frame of same or next business day!

However, Australia Post are experiencing delays, with both standard and express deliveries. The impact varies by state - we have noticed delays up to 2 weeks to WA and 1-2 weeks to QLD. Within other states we are seeing delays of a couple of days to 1 week. They are working hard to get back to normal, but we ask you during this time to please be patient and bear with them - Australia Post are experiencing unprecedented volumes in their network - much higher than Christmas. Aus Post are focused on the health and well-being of their team as well as safely delivering your parcels to you. They have increased capacity to deliver on weekends so you may notice your delivery comes outside of business hours.

Express Post: We will continue to post Express Post orders same day or next day as a priority. Australia Post do have some delays in their Express Post network also so it may take slightly longer than usual, however it is still the fastest way to receive your parcel.

Please note that often there is only one person packing and posting your orders from our home studio. Social distancing is no problem here! We are taking all necessary hygiene precautions, with extra hand washing and using hospital-grade sanitiser before we pack your lovely orders :)

POSTAGE COSTS

You can estimate your shipping costs in the shopping cart before proceeding to checkout. Postage costs are set by Australia Post, based on the size and weight of sending your parcel, you may notice that we also discount their standard rate slightly in order to offer you a saving. Bulky items such as framed prints may be shipped via a courier due to their size.

IMPORTANT INFO

  • Our 'Free Local Delivery' option is only available within a 10km radius of Belgrave, 3160. We aim to drop off your order within 2-3 business days. Please contact us if you have any questions related to free local delivery.
  • In the rare event that an ordered product is not available or we are unable to fulfill your order as confirmed, we will notify you as soon as possible to arrange an alternative product with you or, if an alternative can’t be found, we will issue a refund.
  • If an order is returned to us that is not due to our error (for example an incorrect address was provided), re-delivery fees will be charged at the full standard postage rate, regardless of whether your order originally qualified for free shipping. Payment of the re-delivery fee will need to be settled before we are able to re-attempt delivery of your parcel. 

DELIVERY TIMES FOR STANDARD PARCEL POST SHIPPING

We aim to have your order processed, packed and shipped within 24-48 hours Monday – Friday. We don’t pack orders on weekends, so if your order is placed over the weekend it will be packed as soon as possible on the next available business day. We do our very best to send all orders on their way asap!

Australia Post is our chosen shipping company. Throw Some Seeds cannot guarantee any delivery time once your parcel has been dispatched. However, tracking updates will either be sent via Australia Post, or an email will be sent by us with your tracking number. You will be able to track your order by clicking the link in your shipping confirmation email or by accessing the Australia Post website.

Once your order leaves us, the Australia Post Regular Parcel Post service aims to have your order delivered to you within 2-7 business days - this can be longer if you in a regional or remote area (certain remote areas may take up to 14 days). This delivery window is based on our location.

If for some reason you haven’t received your Regular Post order within 14 days, and Australia Post has been unable to assist, please contact us at throwsomeseeds@gmail.com so we can investigate as a priority.

DELIVERY TIMES FOR EXPRESS POST SHIPPING

If you need your order to arrive sooner, then we recommend you select the Express Post shipping option at checkout. Australia Post's Express Post shipping service aims to have your order delivered to you within 2-3 business days. If you live in Victoria this may be even faster, but can also be longer if you live in a regional or remote area. This delivery window is based on our location.

If for some reason you haven’t received your Express Post order within 7 days, and Australia Post has been unable to assist, please contact us at throwsomeseeds@gmail.com so we can investigate as a priority.

FREE LOCAL DELIVERY

Local Delivery is available within a 10km radius of Belgrave, 3160.

We will aim to drop off your delivery within 2-3 business days, however if your order is a gift and you would like delivery on a specific date, please leave us a note at checkout and we will do our best to accommodate this. Please note we cannot hand deliver to PO boxes. If you would prefer to collect your order, please contact us at throwsomeseeds@gmail.com and we can arrange a time and place for collection.

DAMAGE OR LOSS DURING DELIVERY

All parcels are packed carefully and with love because we want you to enjoy our products exactly as they are intended! Damage or loss of parcels during delivery is however an unfortunate occasional occurrence with postal services and couriers, so if this happens please contact us at throwsomeseeds@gmail.com.

Throw Some Seeds is not responsible for any orders once dispatched, however we will do our best to help ensure a good outcome. Please ensure correct delivery information is provided to avoid any disappointment!

PACKAGING

Where practical, we reuse packaging we receive from our suppliers – and occasionally when we do have to purchase our own packaging materials we always choose the most eco-friendly option. We avoid using plastic satchels that can only be recycled in specific recycling centres. Sending plastic-free parcels can be a bit slower for delivery but we want to be part of the solution - not the problem. If a better, more eco-friendly shipping option becomes available we will be the first to jump on board.

For the time being, we will deliver your packages in cardboard boxes, filled with re-used bubble wrap or environmentally-friendly ‘Geami Green Wrap’ – we also collect biodegradable/compostable packaging peanuts made from cornstarch as well as bubble wrap from local stores who are happy to support us in reusing their waste materials. Our community is passionate about reducing waste, it’s one of the many reasons we love living in the Dandenongs. We encourage you to recycle or reuse our packaging too!

If you select our gift wrapping option your parcel will be wrapped in recycled, brown kraft paper and twine - we also include an earth friendly gift tag designed and printed in Australia. Happy days!
